While there are many areas of Vanuatu that have great coral, some of the best snorkelling is just offshore at Flametree, with an awesome variety of coral and tropical fish.
Find 'Nemo' along the coral reef.
A highlight is finding occassional families of 'Nemo's' that live at various places along the reef. Further out there is a a large range of fish, from the graceful parrot-fish with their many colours, through to the small bright blue iridescent fish that flit all around the reef. Fish of all sizes & colourings abound across the extent of the reef.
Enjoy the large coral formations that are a part of the reef, providing classic viewing.
The reef itself extends out over a extensive width from the coast, and at its edge drops away steeply providing a spectacular face of interwoven coral and fish for snorkellers to take in. Over the reef itself large formations of coral occur that create plenty of interest of their own accord, and snorkellers will find plenty of interest in their differing size and textures .
